Women’s Health

Women’s Health

Let’s face it. Women’s health is about more than pelvic exams and pregnancy. Our bodies go through much more than that. Our experienced practitioners are ready to provide expert care for women of all ages—for any of life’s challenges along the way.

Mammograms

Mammograms are arguably the most important tools doctors have in detecting, diagnosing and evaluating breast cancer. We recommend that women over 40 get a mammogram every year. At OB-GYN Associates, we offer on-site, state-of-the-art digital mammography. This means:

  • Higher detection rate of breast cancer in women under 50
  • Faster and more accurate images
  • Reduced need for recalls and additional views
  • Reduced radiation compared to conventional mammograms

Urinary Incontinence

Urinary Incontinence

Did you know that according to research, women experience urinary incontinence twice as often as men? It’s thanks to pregnancy, childbirth, menopause and anatomy—but there’s hope. We’ve helped thousands of women reclaim their lives by treating incontinence. From simple solutions to more complex procedures, we’ll help you overcome the issue and improve the quality of your life. You can learn more about urinary incontinence by searching the Women’s Health Information database.

Bone Density

Measuring bone density can help predict fracture risk, which helps in diagnosing and treating osteoporosis. OB-GYN Associates provides on-site bone density scans with our Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry, or DEXA, technology. Regular scans can play a big role in predicting and managing osteoporosis, which can progress painlessly until a bone breaks. For this reason, we recommend regular bone density scans for our post-menopausal patients.
